C45 steel is a common material for shaft parts. It is cheap and can be obtained after quenching and tempering (or normalizing). 40Cr is China's GB standard steel number. 40Cr steel is one of the most widely used steels in machinery manufacturing. After quenched and tempered, it has good comprehensive mechanical properties, good low temperature impact toughness and low notch sensitivity. Steel has good hardenability. It can be hardened to Ф28 ~ 60mm when water quenched, and Φ15 ~ 40mm when oil quenched. In addition to quenching and tempering, this steel is also suitable for cyanidation and induction hardening. 3, 30CrMnTi

It has higher strength and hardenability than 20CrMnTi steel, but its impact toughness is slightly lower. It is mainly used as carburizing steel.
